FEMA Supports the State of Missouri in Response to Tornado
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Today, FEMA Regional Administrator Dick Hainje joined Governor Matt Blunt in an aerial tour of damages in Newton, Jasper and Barry counties. Several tornadoes touched down late Saturday, developing 175 mph winds that killed 15 people and destroyed at least 140 homes.

Disaster Recovery Centers Ready To Help Mississippi Flood Survivors
ATLANTA, Ga. -- Mobile Disaster Recovery Centers (DRC) operated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) have been deployed to assist Mississippians affected by the storms and flooding that began March 20. <p><strong>Augusta, Maine</strong> - Residents of Aroostook County who experienced flood damage need to register with FEMA to receive federal assistance, even if they have already called 211 or contacted the Red Cross. Those affected can apply at www.fema.gov or by calling toll-free 1-800-621-FEMA (3362), from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., seven days a week until further notice. Those with speech or hearing impairment may call TTY 1-800-462-7585. </p>

Disaster Recovery Center to Visit Washington County
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- TheFederal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the Arkansas Department of Emergency Management (ADEM) and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announce the opening of a Mobile Disaster Recovery Center (MDRC) in Washington County. <strong>The MDRC will open Tuesday, May 13, at 9 a.m.</strong> and will serve those affected by severe storms, tornadoes and flooding that occurred March 18 through April 28.
